Event Details

Writing dialogue that snaps and sparkles, but why it should never truly be “realistic.” Warning: Contains speech tags, pronouns, body language, and a distinct lack of niceties.

This interactive program is presented by Writer in Residence Aprilynne Pike. Critically acclaimed and a #1 New York Times best-selling author, Aprilynne Pike has been spinning tales since she was a child with a hyper-active imagination. At 20 she received her Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing from Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho. She is the author of the best-selling Wings series and the recently-released and well-reviewed Glitter. Aprilynne lives in Arizona with her husband and four kids.

This project is supported by the Arizona State Library, Archives & Public Records, a division of the Secretary of State, with federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
