An estimated 20 percent of individuals over the age of 50 experience some degree of difficulty swallowing. Learn what happens to swallowing muscles as we age, why some people cough when they eat, and the difference between normal age-related changes and potential health problems. Also, find out ways to make swallowing easier and safer for older adults. Presented by Laura Wolford, Ph.D., CCC-SLP of Midwestern University.
