Good writing can make all
the difference when it comes to getting the job, making the sale, or even being
accepted into college. But, in today’s world of memes and text messaging, it
can be tricky knowing how best to represent yourself in written communications.
Learn practical tips for writing effective emails, letters and essays at this
workshop presented by Writer in Residence Amy Nichols.
Amy K. Nichols is the
author of the YA science fiction novels Now That You’re Here and While You
Were Gone, published by Knopf Books for Young Readers. She served as
a Teaching Associate with the Your
Novel Year program at the Virginia G.
Piper Center for Creative Writing at Arizona State University, and enjoys
leading workshops at The Piper Center, Copper Hills Center for the Arts and
other venues around the Phoenix area. Insatiably curious, Amy dabbles in art
and quantum physics, and has a long list of things to see, do and learn before
she dies. Visit her online at amyknichols.com.
This program is supported
by the Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records, a division of the
Secretary of State, with federal funds from the institute of Museum and Library
