Event Details

What does it mean to be a part of this vast universe? Thought-provoking workshops and astronomy demos will connect to our many senses in new ways and help us understand the universe within us. Astronomy 101 lectures on stellar evolution, science demos, creative astronomy writing workshops and fun activities will bring together science and art.

This program is part of a larger event in the surrounding Murphy Park on Friday, April 19 (5-7 PM), and Saturday, April 20 (1-9 PM), called EXIST: Messengers of the Cosmos, which includes a visual art gallery and an "astronomy-inspired theatrical circus" performed by Cirque Roots. Come explore how "We are star stuff." For more details and a full schedule of events, visit bit.ly/existgplarts. For more information about Cirque Roots, visit www.existlife.me.

These workshops and events are free and open to the public and are funded by the City of Glendale’s Centerline Arts and Cultural Initiative.

All events at the Glendale Public Library are public, and participants may be photographed by the media and or City staff for future print and/or online publication.
