As a measure of precaution, the city will be closing the Glendale Public Libraries effective Tuesday, March 17, 2020. The libraries will remain closed until further notice. All March library programs and events are canceled immediately. April library programs and events may be postponed until further notice. The Sonoran Desert is one of the most ecologically diverse deserts in the U.S. Many native plants were important sources of food and medicine for indigenous people.
