Boiling your novel into a 2-sentence elevator pitch is a daunting but necessary task. In this workshop we’ll identify the five pieces of information every pitch needs, look at sample elevator pitches, and craft pitches for the stories we’re currently working on and wanting to sell. Amy K. Nichols is the author of the YA science fiction novels Now That You’re Here and While You Were Gone, published by Knopf BFYR/Penguin Random House. She served as a Teaching Associate with the Your Novel Year program at the Virginia G. Piper Center for Creative Writing, as well as the Writer in Residence for the Glendale Public Library. Insatiably curious, Amy dabbles in art and quantum physics, and has a long list of things to do before she dies. She lives with her family outside Phoenix, AZ.
