Proactive Teen Parenting Classes for Teen Parents

Proactive Teen Parenting Classes for Teen Parents is a free program offered by Teen Outreach Pregnany Services.  This 4 week program is offered every Wednesday afternoon from 3:35-5:45 at Velma Teague Library.  Classes start on June 7th.

These classes are for parenting adolescents, ages 12-21. Class topics include nutrition, playtime, developmental milestones, positive discipline, and much more.  Class participants are eligible for raffle prizes, free diapers, and CPR classes. Thursday Thingamajig: Arizona Broadway Theatre - Junie B. Jones

Arizona Broadway Theatre (ABT), presents Junie B. Jones on the Main Library auditorium stage Thursday, June 29th at 2:00 pm as part of the summer Thursday Thingamajigs program. School-aged children, K - 6th grade, are invited to attend this final presentation by ABT's Theatre For Young Audiences. This free performance is sponsored by the Glendale Public Arts Program. While younger children may attend if accompanied by an adult, parents should note this program is not suitable for toddlers and young preschoolers.
 Tickets will be given out 20 minutes before the show begins, (1:40 pm), on a first come, first served basis. Attendees cannot save places or get tickets for persons not in line. The auditorium seats 240 people.

Critically acclaimed, #1 New York Times best-selling author Aprilynne Pike has been spinning tales since she was a child with a hyper-active imagination. At the age of 20 she received her Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing from Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho. When not writing, Aprilynne can usually be found out running; she also enjoys singing, acting, reading, and working with pregnant moms as a childbirth educator and doula. Aprilynne lives in Arizona with her husband and four kids; she is enjoying the sunshine.
