Historian
Jim Turner will discuss water use from Clovis culture hunter-gatherers to
prehistoric irrigation canals; modern Hopi and Tohono O’odham dry farming to
present-day American farmers; and major water use legislation over more than
three centuries, as Arizonans developed methods to survive our region’s harsh
climate.
